Open-source Skill Makes AI Agents Ship Obsidian Plugins Like Real Products

Once installed, telling the agent to build an Obsidian plugin triggers a full loop: it first researches the official API and comparable open-source projects for a differentiation assessment, then proceeds to development and verification. Compared to naive AI development:
- Studies official docs, APIs and similar plugins first; compares licenses, maintenance status, architecture and mobile support before coding
- Treats build success as insufficient — installs into a real test vault, reloads the plugin, and validates with real fixtures and interactions
- Guards against async state overwrites, duplicate listeners and memory leaks via explicit state ownership, request generations, resource release and performance budgets
- Separately verifies PR, CI, Release, public assets and official directory listing during publishing
The author has used this methodology to build and iterate three real plugins including Qiaomu Reader; the repo ships with agents, evals, references and tests.
