LLMs increasingly filter out self-promotion in AI search, tests across Grok, Claude and ChatGPT show
lilyraynyc · x · 2026-09-29
SEO analyst Lily Ray reports that 'best seo expert' — one of the most spammed query categories — shows LLMs filtering self-promotion. Grok's Auto mode explicitly ignores SEOs calling themselves the best while still using the rest of the article; she has seen Claude, AI Overviews/AI Mode and ChatGPT do the same. Better, more expensive models appear better at it.
