OpenAI has reopened its $200/month Pro subscription to new sign-ups while cutting API credits per dollar in half. Employee Thibault Sottiaux says more efficient models like GPT-6 Sol and Luna make up the difference. The move is part of OpenAI's shift away from subsidized flat-rate plans toward usage-based billing.
