Stripe and Notion converge on the same bet: agents will be both sides of knowledge work

Notion says it's having nearly the same internal realization as Stripe: in the near future, most knowledge will have AI agents on both sides of the transaction. Notion's team shared a Stripe podcast clip, noting that swapping "transactions" for "collaboration" yields their exact POV.
Open questions they're actively working through: how will Claude Code instances and other agents use Notion directly? How does an agent sign up for a product? Is MCP enough? What should a Notion CLI do, and how can everything in Notion be orchestrated via agent-accessible interfaces? How will agents collaborate with each other? The thread signals SaaS products may need to redesign entry points for machine users rather than humans.
