Notion launched column permissions for databases, letting teams control visibility and edit rights per column. PM Stephen Wu made a launch trailer over a weekend using Claude, AI video tools and Notion itself. CEO Ivan Zhao amplified it, saying Notion will keep making databases fluid yet powerful for both humans and agents — signaling its database layer is meant to serve agents as first-class collaborators.
