Unitree's Dex5-1 dexterous hand: 22 DoF, all backdrivable, from $6,500

Unitree unveiled the Dex5-1, a human-sized dexterous robot hand starting at $6,500:
- 22 degrees of freedom, all backdrivable
- Impact-torque protection at every joint
- Roughly human-hand size
Dexterous hands are becoming a standalone market: rival AGIBOT already sells multiple hand architectures through its AGILINK spin-off. Both companies sell manipulation hardware other developers need, not just for their own humanoids.
