Cognex is acquiring RealSense for $500M in cash, moving from fixed-arm industrial inspection into 3D depth sensing and autonomous navigation.
RealSense has shipped 1M+ units across fixed-arm robots, AMRs, quadrupeds and humanoids, with 20K active developers and 70+ patents. Cognex estimates the robotic perception market at $600M today, growing to $1.6B by 2030; RealSense is expected to generate $80–90M in 2026 revenue with 50%+ growth.
