When using UU Remote from a folding phone to a Mac, the aspect-ratio mismatch leaves large black bars on both sides, and UU Remote offers no resolution-following option. The workaround flips the problem: make the computer fit the phone instead.
- Install BetterDisplay on the Mac, a tool that can create virtual displays.
- Create a virtual screen whose resolution and aspect ratio match the folding phone's inner display (the author used 2248×2480).
- Drag the apps you want to use remotely—terminal, editor, etc.—onto that virtual screen.
With this setup the remote view fills the phone's screen completely, making it comfortable to code on the phone away from the desk.
