Users spotted an "o, your always-on assistant" tagline on ChatGPT's Pro subscription page, plus frontend config showing displayname: "o" and emailsuffix: "-o" — the product appears to be in real configuration but not yet officially launched (unconfirmed leak).
"o" is reportedly a persistent personal agent: it keeps its own identity, context, and task state across sessions, working 24/7 on your behalf, positioning it against Grok Bot and Meta Muse as always-on agents. The dedicated email suffix suggests OpenAI is preparing an independent outward-facing identity for the agent.
@sujingshen raises a practical concern: once an agent owns an email address, where's the boundary between tasks it can send autonomously (chasing packages, forwarding a finalized memo) and ones it shouldn't (replying to your boss, committing to a deal on your behalf)? Who defines that line, and how much email, calendar, and browser access it gets remains unannounced.
