Edge AI chip startup SiMa.ai has raised a $150 million Series C at a $1.45 billion valuation, co-led by Fidelity and Amplify, with Dell Technologies Capital and StepStone Group participating.
- Its chips and software let robots, drones and cameras run AI directly on-device, avoiding cloud round-trips
- Founded in 2018 by Krishna Rangasayee, former COO of chipmaker Groq
- Positions its low-latency, cheaper-than-Nvidia-GPU chips for the physical AI market including humanoid robots
- Total funding now exceeds $500M; it was valued at $960M in its July 2025 $85M Series B
