Developer Khazix0918 has open-sourced AIHOT, an AI news aggregator with a million monthly active users, releasing the full collection pipeline, scoring and clustering logic, and all production prompts, hoping the community will build industry-specific versions.
He also shared the 3-day multi-model workflow used to rewrite the project: two models in parallel distilled the old codebase into handoff docs; a second model cross-checked docs against legacy code; a coding model then rewrote everything from scratch (12 hours) without reading old code; multiple models in parallel audited line-by-line for missing features, hunted bugs, and finally redesigned the frontend UI. The author says he was a complete beginner six months ago.
