Automating factory rotor press-fit: VLAs are a black box, jigs fill the gap

A team automated a rotor-bell press-fit station over the weekend and shared field lessons. The hard part isn't robot software or training but achieving five-nines reliability: VLAs remain a black box — when the 1000th motor lands 1mm off, you can't debug why. Their fix is intelligent mechanical jigs (magnet rails, stabilizing grooves) that support robots today, to be progressively removed as VLAs mature.
