Hedryn makes the project, not chat sessions, own shared AI agent context

Developer mbbuilds is building Hedryn, an open-source (soon) system that treats the project—not individual chat sessions—as the central unit for AI coding agents, so teams using Claude, Codex, and local models stop working with isolated context.
Key design points:
- Projects hold persistent shared context and memory
- Each member connects their own agents/accounts; capabilities are exposed to the orchestrator via permissions, without merging credentials
- An orchestration layer decides which context matters, whether a task stays local, which agent fits, what it can see, and how results update memory
- The open-source small decision model Laya handles cheap routing instead of invoking a large LLM at every branch
The author asks the community where to draw the line between deterministic routing, a small decision model, and an LLM planner, and whether shared project-level memory actually solves a team problem. Repo not yet published.
