chaseleantj open sourced deskworlds (325 stars on GitHub): four interactive 3D desktop worlds — a riverbed with schooling fish, a coral reef, a betta fish, and a plasma globe that reaches for your cursor. Everything renders live with Three.js and WebGL2, runs fully locally with no account needed, and works as a real macOS wallpaper (macOS 13+); all scenes also run in the browser. Built with Claude Sonnet 5.5, which the author says matches Opus at half the price.
