Tegmark: AI control loss is here — the debate should be about racing in a pro-human direction

MIT professor and FLI co-founder Max Tegmark argued on NBC's Meet the Press that since AI control loss has effectively happened, the conversation should shift from racing faster or slower toward human replacement to racing in a more pro-human direction. Citing FLI, he noted that voices from Bernie Sanders to Steve Bannon are now unusually united in calling for guardrails and regulation.
