Frontier-model code automates button picking; an AI robotic integrator runs full deployments

- A frontier model (Astra + Opus) wrote code solving a classic manufacturing task: precisely picking a button from a pile and placing it correctly into a housing.
- The routine grips one or two buttons, re-drops them for single picks, tosses wrong-side-up buttons until flipped, and separates touching buttons with the gripper.
- When issues occur, the agent edits the code itself to handle the problem and adds verification checks.
The team also introduces an "AI robotic integrator": an agent that handles entire MicroFactory deployments end-to-end—designing tooling, writing computer vision code, and guiding human operators through the boring parts of hardware production.
