vlo 0.3: open-source AI video editor built for generative compositing and frame-accurate inpainting
PxTicks · reddit · 2026-09-29
Developer PxTicks released vlo 0.3, an open-source video editing and generation tool designed for interactivity between generative AI and the timeline: inpaint anywhere, extract frames/clips as references, video masking with SAM2, and stem extraction with sam-audio.
- Built-in workflows for Minimax H3, Qwen2.1, Krea2, LTX2.5 and more; works with local or remote ComfyUI installs
- Emphasizes control over automation: a frame-accurate render engine, tactical handling of model aspect-ratio limits, and patch-based inpainting that never re-encodes unedited pixels until export
- Ships an SDK for building extensions and shader-based effects
Install instructions are on the GitHub repo.
