French startup Wandercraft wins FDA clearance for hands-free home exoskeleton

Wandercraft's personal exoskeleton for adults with spinal cord injuries received FDA clearance for home use. Self-balancing via 12 motors in hips, knees and ankles, it needs no crutches and is fully joystick-controlled. In the clearance study, 87.5% of participants completed all six everyday tasks, and 15 of 16 donned the device in under 10 minutes. Medicare, veterans' coverage and workers' comp already cover some US patients.
