Scrimba's founder launched HN.watch, generating explainer videos for Hacker News posts on the fly using HTML-based rendering instead of diffusion models: a few seconds per video at $0.04 cost. The team sees use cases from per-PR videos to instant article-to-video, built on the open-source Imba language.
