At Meta Connect, Mark Zuckerberg unveiled the Muse 'charm' device — a keychain-sized AI assistant with a cutesy on-screen avatar, likened to a Tamagotchi. Despite the adorable design, it can hold live conversations, answer emails, book travel, and do your weekly food shop. Following backlash against Meta's camera-equipped smart glasses, the company also introduced a new pair of smart glasses with no camera, a move academics cited in The Guardian see as a significant response to public discomfort with cameras.
