Base44 lets non-engineers ship changes to real codebases via natural language PRs
HeyNayeem · x · 2026-09-29
Base44's new Base Code workflow opens an existing codebase to the whole team: PMs, designers, QA, and marketing can describe a change in plain language from the browser, connected to the team's existing GitHub repo.
Key points:
- No repo cloning or local environment setup needed; small changes skip the usual engineering handoff
- Changes are built on an isolated branch, previewed with the real product running, and returned as a standard GitHub pull request
- Engineering stays in control: reviews code, runs existing checks, and decides what merges
