Tarini Padmanabhuni founded San Francisco startup DetectifAI after her grandfather was scammed by a deepfake imitating her great-uncle's voice. The company builds AI models small enough to run directly on smartphones, flagging fake voices in real time. DetectifAI is now competing in Startup Battlefield at TechCrunch Disrupt.
