Stanford economist Neale Mahoney told CNBC that Meta's Muse is helping people identify and cancel unwanted subscriptions. His research with Liran Einav and Ben Klopack found that inattention and inertia roughly double seller revenues in the subscription economy. Commenters noted that unlike math proofs or 17-hour coding runs, a chatbot actually canceling your subscriptions is what will likely sell the public on AI.
