A new paper co-authored by researchers across academia, civil society and frontier AI labs (including Dawn Song, Jack Clark, Yoshua Bengio, Geoffrey Hinton) assesses whether automating AI R&D could radically accelerate AI progress in an 'intelligence explosion.'
