NVIDIA launches Agent Safety reference design: open-source OpenShell runtime plus BlueField hardware enforcement

Jensen Huang announced the NVIDIA Open Agent Safety Platform Reference Design, combining two components:
- OpenShell: an open-source secure runtime that gives AI agents clear, enforceable boundaries, tracing their actions and enforcing policy as they work.
- NVIDIA Sentry: an added security layer with hardware-based enforcement on NVIDIA BlueField, continuously monitoring agent activity via a trusted telemetry and detection pipeline and enabling millisecond-scale containment and quarantine.
The approach extends agent safety beyond software policy to hardware-level enforcement.
