Motif: an MCP design library that lets coding agents consult design guidance while they build UI

A developer at ASV Labs launched Motif, a remote MCP service addressing the gap between agents producing working UI and producing design you'd actually want — "make it look better" isn't a spec.
Three main pieces: searchable design guidance for websites/apps/PWAs (layout, typography, navigation, screen states); starter templates the agent can adapt; and rule checks on measurements the agent supplies, plus saved project briefs and approved design decisions. Example: an agent building a booking flow looks up guidance, accounts for empty/error states, then verifies measured contrast and control sizes.
Free tier: subset of guidance, two template families, 100 content ops/month. Creator plan is $9/month. The author asks testers to try it on screens they're building and report whether the guidance changes design decisions or just repeats what the agent already does.
