Sora API is dead, but 31 of 70 AI apps still list it — none tells users

The Sora app shut down in April, OpenAI's help page set Sept 24 as the API end date, and sora.com now reads "Sora is no longer available." A Reddit user who maintains a dataset of AI tools and their models opened all 70 app homepages that listed Sora:
- 31 still offer Sora as a selectable model, including ByteDance's own Dreamina
- 14 no longer show it; 13 only have it left in page code
- 8 merely mention it (prompt libraries, "Sora alternative" pages); 3 wouldn't load; 1 is sora.com itself
None of the 31 says Sora is gone. The core problem: from the outside you can't tell what model you're actually paying for in third-party apps — some may silently route you elsewhere. Only homepages were checked without logging in, so 31 is a floor.
