Cloudflare ships EmDash 1.0: open-source Astro CMS with a decentralized AT Protocol plugin registry

What started as an April Fools' tease is real: Cloudflare released EmDash 1.0, a free, MIT-licensed CMS built on Astro. Developers build with Astro, editors use the admin UI, and agents work via API, CLI or a built-in MCP server.
- Production-proven: the Cloudflare Blog now runs on EmDash, handling millions of weekly pageviews, spikes of 5,000 RPS and DDoS attempts. Avulux migrated from WordPress in under a day using EmDash Agent Skills.
- Decentralized plugin registry: built on AT Protocol, publishers sign and own their packages while EmDash hosts a catalog — no single gatekeeper of identity or distribution.
