Redis creator antirez pushed back on AI-coding critics: programmers silently tolerated terrible frameworks, bloated languages, and layers of complexity for 20 years without protest, because none of it threatened their paychecks.
Now they yell "slop!" at AI coding. His take: be honest — the fear is really about paying invoices and supporting a family, which is a legitimate and respectable concern, but say it as it is instead of dressing it up as a technical critique.
