Meta launches enterprise AI business, hires ex-MongoDB CEO CJ Desai to lead it

Per WSJ, Meta is starting a new business selling AI tools to enterprise customers, building on the momentum of its viral Muse assistant and seeking returns on its heavy AI spending. The offering bundles Muse productivity agent, a coding tool, access to top models, and business-oriented agents.
Meta hired Chirantan "CJ" Desai, previously MongoDB's CEO, to run the new unit, reporting directly to Mark Zuckerberg. The move is seen as Meta striking back at Microsoft in enterprise AI, with Meta's massive GPU fleet as a potential edge.
