NVIDIA launches Open Agent Safety Platform with 100+ partners for secure AI agents

NVIDIA and 100+ industry partners launched the Open Agent Safety Platform, combining OpenShell and Sentry to build a software-plus-hardware safety enforcement layer for autonomous AI agents. Jensen Huang frames it as the start of an open ecosystem for the AI economy's trust layer.
Technical highlights:
- OpenShell: open-source secure runtime executing agents in sandboxed environments with kernel-level isolation;
- NVIDIA Sentry: extends monitoring and enforcement into BlueField-4 DPUs via DOCA, correlating agent interactions, policy decisions, and tool access;
- In Vera Rubin POD systems, BlueField-4 sits on the node's only path to the model, enabling line-speed out-of-band observability and real-time policy enforcement.
