Vite+ 1.0 ships: one `vp` CLI unifies Node runtime, package manager and frontend toolchain

VoidZero, the team behind Vite, Vitest, Rolldown and Oxc led by Evan You, has released Vite+ 1.0 — a stable, MIT-licensed unified web toolchain approaching two million weekly downloads.
- A single vp CLI manages your Node.js runtime, package manager and frontend tooling, built on Vite, Vitest, Rolldown, Oxc and tsdown, all behind one config file.
- It's explicitly not a framework or package manager: it ties together the tools you already use into one tested stack, framework-agnostic — React apps, Vue libraries, Node CLIs or 400-package monorepos all use the same commands, and projects don't even need to use Vite.
- The pitch: assembling your own toolchain means picking a runtime, package manager, linter, formatter, test runner and bundler, each with its own config and upgrade path. Multi-repo teams end up with linter/formatter conflicts, CI diverging from local commands, and repos drifting versions apart.
- Get started with vp create for new projects or vp migrate for existing ones; the post also announces VoidZero is joining Cloudflare.
