Claude Opus 5 Shows Creative Tool-Regrasp Skills in Robot Manipulation Tasks
ericjang11 · x · 2026-09-28
A robotics team reports that after switching to Claude Opus 5, the model solved many more manipulation tasks in unexpected ways, forcing them to rework earlier assumptions. A favorite example: the model uses prehensile skills to regrasp a scoop tool, creatively exploiting the tool and scene layout. Demo thread shared by ericjang11.
