One prompt gets AI to build a working CPU, assembler, OS and game from logic gates

Matt Shumer shared an extreme stress-test prompt: ask the model to design, entirely in code and starting from individual logic gates, a CPU, memory, an assembler, a tiny operating system, and a real playable game running on those gates — no JavaScript fakery allowed. The whole system must be visualized in 3D, letting you zoom down through the chips into the gates and watch signals flow while the game runs.
The framing — "prove you could have invented computing yourself" — is designed to push a model to the limits of system-level engineering. Reposting it, SteveMoraco pushed back on the "not as smart as humans yet" takes: name one person on Earth capable of this.
