Developers file detailed issue on Copilot Chat UX and reliability gaps in VS Code

Developer Dan Wahlin compiled a detailed GitHub issue (#338237) on microsoft/vscode aggregating user Andrei Kapytau's frustrations with GitHub Copilot Chat in VS Code:
- Chat window placement isn't freely configurable on wide monitors
- No good multi-session management (e.g., switching efforts/models)
- Long text input forced into single-line fields where you can't see what you typed
- Permission popups land in the taskbar and do nothing when VS Code is inactive
- Input prompts sit at the bottom of chat, far from the code you're reading, so you often miss that Copilot stopped working
- No proper search across sessions
The extension also underperforms in restricted environments where all actions are scanned and logged. Wahlin, noting he meant the GHCP CLI and app rather than the VS Code extension, is passing the feedback to the team.
