macOS 27 beta's new hit-test map debug tool fuels touchscreen MacBook rumors

Developer stephancasas spotted a new "Dump Hit-Test Map" item in the AppKit debug menu of the macOS 27 "Golden Gate" beta. After confirming options, users get a temp directory with visual hit-test maps and summary reports. Native apps produce colorful maps, while Electron and similar frameworks treat the whole renderer as a single touch target — a strong hint that a touchscreen MacBook is in the works.
