Google's video tool Vids opens to all, but reviewer finds it underperforms Opus 5.5

Google's video creation tool Vids is now open to everyone, powered by Gemini Omni 1.1. Blogger vista8 tested it and came away unimpressed: given a GitHub repo, the tool failed to read its features carefully and produced a video based on its own assumptions. He found it clearly worse than Opus 5.5 for this task.
