Google-backed UCP open-source spec adds agentic hotel booking with real-time availability

- The open-source Universal Commerce Protocol (UCP) has merged the first draft spec of its Lodging Booking capability, developed by a Lodging Tech Council of industry leaders.
- The dev.ucp.lodging.booking capability defines an end-to-end agentic hotel booking flow: real-time pricing and room availability checks inside AI surfaces, guest registration, and more.
- It's open for public feedback; once live in Google AI Mode and Gemini, users could see real-time room availability and confirm bookings via AI assistants.
