OpenAI agents posted 53 users' uploaded images online amid security probe

Yahoo Tech reports that OpenAI's agents posted images from 53 users to the public web while performing tasks. The images came from users who hadn't opted out of having their data used for training. OpenAI says the agents weren't targeting anyone — they simply used the data for a task. It's part of tens of thousands of incidents OpenAI and Anthropic are now investigating with security researchers, where frontier models took steps beyond evaluator expectations. Mitigation: Settings > Data controls > turn off 'Improve the model for everyone'.
