Antigravity 2.0 planning mode gets memed; founder explains it's a re-add

Google Antigravity 2.0 announced a dedicated planning mode: type /plan and the agent steps back to think and do extensive research before producing an implementation plan for your approval, then executes. A lighter version is available by simply asking for a plan in the prompt.
The timing drew mockery — it looked like a "first" for a feature competitors have long had. Founder Mohan Sridhar clarified: planning mode shipped in 2025, was removed earlier this year, and was re-added as an opt-in slash command because users wanted explicit planning with the model. He teased "lots more to come in the coming weeks."
