Gary Bernhardt pushed back on the idea that assembly could ever be a good language for AI agents: it forces the agent to attend to a huge number of extra details, the same problem humans face. With limited attention and context, spending them on low-level minutiae makes no sense. He says he's ready to be proven wrong.
