Continuing the speculative AGI thread, granawkins imagines a rat-utopia-style collapse in which large swaths of humanity self-destruct, while certain subcultures thrive and dominate within a few decades. No one is sure what role the AI played, but everyone agrees humanity as a whole is better off.
