Devs rip Claude Code as least proactive coding agent, switching to Codex

A developer vented that Claude Code is "the worst in terms of proactivity by a mile" — worse than every other option on the market — constantly pushing work back onto the user. He notes Opus 5.5 is a great model but the agent experience is unlivable. Others chimed in saying they just have Codex take over from Claude, agreeing Codex handles autonomy far better.
