Back-of-envelope math: OpenAI's internal agent logs may hit ~1 quadrillion tokens

Responding to "how do you review petabytes of agent logs?", Aaron Bergman extrapolates from 8GB (2B tokens) of text-only agent logs on his own machine: OpenAI would only need 250,000x his usage ($3B worth) to hit 2PB, making one quadrillion internal tokens a reasonable order-of-magnitude estimate — before counting code-generated tokens that were never read.
