shuding explains zero-js: a sequel to his 11-year-old CSS logic gates project
shuding · x · 2026-09-27
shuding adds context to zero-js: it continues his 2015 school project css-computer, which already implemented logic gates, a full adder, and 4-bit addition in pure CSS.
He likens zero-js to "shader code on an analog computer" — no persistent state, just circuits of CSS math reacting live to inputs. Scroll-position hacks can persist state but are still rough. Built just for fun.
