Claude Code shipped a small but useful upgrade: when a task hits the 5-hour usage limit mid-work, it now tries to reach a clean stopping point instead of cutting off abruptly mid-edit.
It draws a small fixed allowance from your weekly limit to finish what it can and leave your work in a more usable state — a simple change that makes long coding sessions much smoother.
