Macau Customs seized two GeForce RTX 5090 cards during a September 11-17 smuggling crackdown (12 cases, MOP 1.51M / $187K total), alongside 126K cigarettes and e-cigarettes. The standard card (32GB GDDR7, 512-bit) isn't sold in mainland China — NVIDIA ships the cut-down 24GB RTX 5090 D V2 there — pushing grey-market prices to $7,000-$10,000 and making GPUs smuggling-worthy contraband.
