Opus 5.5 rebuilds Warcraft 2 in 23 hours and 800M tokens; AI vs AI match costs ~$2.5

Dev @arthurkatcher used Claude Opus 5.5 to rebuild Warcraft 2 from scratch in 23 hours and 800M tokens, downloadable wiki (400+ articles) cross-checked for every unit, building, upgrade and spell. He then had GPT-6 Astra and Jev play it against the built-in AI: Astra writes a new plan every 60s and constrains Jev's move set, replanning on raids/deaths; Jev makes production and army decisions every game second. Cost: $0.03-0.05 per plan, $0.005 per game minute for Jev, $2.5 for a full 40-60 min match.
