In an exchange with pitdesi, signulll argues OpenAI has already begun ceding ground by making product messaging and interfaces overly complicated, with major brand bifurcation across Codex, ChatGPT, and even Sora. pitdesi concedes this may be true and that OpenAI would cede much of the consumer business in that case. signulll adds that OpenAI cannot subsidize usage there, as it is fighting a war on two fronts.
