- AI UX software currently has a shelf life of about a month — any fixed UI goes stale almost immediately; even OpenAI and Anthropic can't keep a UX that keeps pace with AI models, both their own and others'.
- His advice: learn to operate a computer through a Unix terminal and keep that as your interaction point; understand how operating systems render pixels; build your own tooling.
- Bottom line: don't get locked in — maximize freedom and adaptability, and build it yourself.
